Publication Ethics
The Global Journal of Public Service (GJoPS) upholds the principles of transparency, ethical editorial practices, and publishing standards as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Manuscripts reporting research studies must have prior approval from a human research ethics committee to be considered for publication. Exceptions may be made at the journal’s discretion for studies where ethics approval is not typically required (e.g., certain quality improvement projects). Authors must inform the editorial office upon submission if their manuscript lacks ethics approval and provide a rationale. The editorial office may request a letter from the relevant institution’s human research ethics committee confirming that ethical approval is not usually provided for the type of study being submitted to GJoPS.
